Mark Barresi won Lime Rock Park “It's 1965! race” race of Groundhog Season | Dec 13, 2012
Starting from position 1 on the grid, Mark Barresi's Cooper T77 crossed the line ahead of Gabor Olah's Lotus 33 to take the win. Alex Barresi rounded out the top three in a Brabham BT7, while fastest race lap was set by Mark Barresi also.
Car restrictions for previous 65mod winners:
No Honda for Gabor.
No BT11 for Alex.
No BRM for Mark.
Finally my office chair is back from the upholsterer. (Ah, never met this word in the past 21 years since I learn English. Upholsterer. Upholsterer.) So good bye to the uncomfortable dining chair. Hopefully this will mean a few tenths in lap times :D
Best lap time on the Rank from a Groundhog driver at the moment is 0:55.661 by John Manvell in the Lotus.
WR is 0:54.194 by Brett Stone, Lotus.
Cooper or BRM for me.
Pedro van den Berg
Brabham for me I guess.

Sorry Michi for hitting you in the first lap.
I seen the replay, its my bad.
Alex is holding up abit and that causes the speed difference where I didn't expected it.
My race was down the drain there to.
The hunting was great though :)
Thanks for racing, and congratulations to Mark!
Marco de Vries
Time to congratulate Mark with the championship! ;)
A new personal best time in qualifying and a promising third spot on the grid. The first two were clearly faster but who knows -- I thought :)
I had a super start and so they, plus Alex behind me. The first corners were a bit hot, but managed to stay ahead of Alex. The straight line speed of the Cooper helped me to stay ahead for 10 laps or so, but then I failed at the exit in the last turn and went off for a spin... While I was recovering Alex and Gergo passed me.
I put down a string of low 56s laps and could gain tenths after tenths on Gergo, but finally overdrove it and lost another 5s...
Still got plenty of laps to improve my position but despite all my efforts I could only half the gap till the finish.
Faultless race from most of the drivers, so there was no room for errors if I want to finish on the podium.
Grats to the winner! Great way to celebrate the championship! Well done Mark!
And grats to all who completed this season finisher race. Thanks all for coming. See you all on the festival/fun races!
Thanks to all guys.
Jani, the record of the circuit is wrong (you put the fastest lap of the race).
See you next race.
You must be wrong Mark. It's a clean hat-trick from you :)
Made up positions at the start and was following a BT7 into T2, in retrospect I should have tried to go round the outside of him. Being stuck on his gearbox led to Pedro hitting me and sending me into the grass. Luckily I could keep going but the field was gone. Rest of the race was spend trying to catch Jani.
Sorry Jani, did not mean that. I try to repeat.
Record league is 55,386, but it really best lap is 55,158.
I hope I was clear now.
I see. Corrected.
