Big apologies to Mark & Andrew who's races I compromised if not destroyed with 2 bad errors & to everyone else who got caught up too. Limited seat time meant I didn't know the track as well as I should have & the carnage was the result.
Poor race for me.

I love this track. It entertains me even if I'm driving alone for laps.

I had one qualy lap and matched my PB by a tenth. That was okay. Unfortunately others were faster by seconds... And there was Mark in his own class...

Despite the tight grid the start was safe and clean, also the first corners and the most part of first lap. It seemed like a miracle from behind. I must make a video :D

Then there was a contact somewhere ahead and I had to slow down to avoid a stalled car (Roo?). Started my 2nd lap in P3, but we had 10 more laps ahead and I was sure that I would be caught up soon.

By lap 3 Gabor and Alex were all over me (another cut for the video!), and I was down to 5th. Once I got out of their slipstream I lost the chance for a podium finish.

So I enjoyed lapping alone and went for a new PB. In the process I boiled my engine... By then there was a huge gap behind me (too) so I could reset with no hurry.

Congrats to Mark! Also on your overall victory! It's so shumacheresque :)

Thanks all for the race!

1:42.xx in Honda is very good posible Jani! (if you stay ontrack)
But I go for the Lotus, split time says something about 3:42.xx to. (not done yet, I have to stay ontrack ;))

Pedro van den Berg 05/14/2013 23:19:29

3:44.375 in the Honda. A little juggling with gear ratio and top speed and it might go down to 42. Hopefully :D
