Robert Fleurke won Rouen “Weather Patch race” race of Pre-War Series | Oct 02, 2014
Starting from position 1 on the grid, Robert Fleurke's Ferrari 312 crossed the line ahead of Roo Mellor's Lotus 49 to take the win. Alex Barresi rounded out the top three in a Eagle T1G, while fastest race lap was set by Robert Fleurke also.
SRMZ is not available at the moment. I will upload the Weather Patch files in the evening.

As anyone can join a server without the patch, I will set a password for the event. (Same as chat password - See Rules page.)
As expected, weather patch worsens the already bad physics of the game , so i'm not very happy to use it.
Nevertheless, i will be on track with an Eagle , my laptimes are pretty depressing atm, but i hope to improve a bit in next days.
We will race on weather level 3.
I have no real experience using the Weather Patch.
Is it needed for the drivers to set the setting the same way or is it like that automatically?
And how do I edit them myself?

The patch would really need a slider in GEM to set fog/grip level. Now it can be set only serverwise and by a pretty dumb way...
So, if you want to train with level 3 you have to rename your player name like Jani 3Posta and host a race online...
Especially the weather race at Zandvoort was very fun to me. Did you use the same fog/griplevel back then Jani? Thought the weather constantly changed which was fun to me...maybe it was my offline testing or only in my mind even... :P
Not sure what car yet...
Level 6 is the default when we don't set a number in server name.
Once the GPL has been started from GEM the exe is patched and the level does not alter till the next start.
just snuck in a quick test. what's a representative time in the wet?
no idea where in the 3-8 scale i was, but 2m01.15.
That was rather a low level. I had 2:10 PB in thick fog.
That would be my pb in dry xD
At lighter fog I was running about 2m01-2m03 depending on fuel load. Using the Ferrari...might take the BRM not sure yet...
I'll take the Brabham today. Not much power so should help slightly with the throttle.
Don't forget we have a race pw tonight - Novice.
Qualy under my expectation, i drived enough clean when in race, finishing on podium even though accident with Yannick after few turns.
All in all, a race without infamy and without praise.
See you next one (finally on dry ... very dry !).
Missed out on a sub2m lap in quali, when I spun out of Scierie having hot reartemps...
Race was uneventful, did expect Roo pushing me, but I seemed to have slightly more pace...
Thanks for racing and hopefully more attendance next week. As always thanks Jani maintaining this league, you deserve more drivers!
Take care guys :)
A rather poor race for me. My qual lap was good enough (or at least what I expected) but I could not match that in the race. After the T2 accident I waited for Alex just to learn he was 2 or 3 sec faster per lap... So as soon as Lap 2 I was left alone at the back. Then came a few errors, I had to reset the car, later I had my engine popped up too... So it was a bit demoralizing.
Anyway I'm looking forward to have a good race at Carthage. :)
Congrats to Robert and thanks all for coming.
Quiet race for me. Simply did not have the pace to pressure Robert but had enough to keep the Yannick's Brabham in check.
I think fog3 was less than I had tested with & I found it difficult to find the right braking points & adapt to the conditions.
back to the desert next :)
