Roo Mellor won Zandvoort race of Pre-War Series | Oct 16, 2014
Starting from position 1 on the grid, Roo Mellor's Lotus 49 crossed the line ahead of Andrew Livingston's Ferrari 312 to take the win. Jani Posta rounded out the top three in a BRM P115, while fastest race lap was set by Roo Mellor also.
From sand to sand, British Racing Misfire for me here, PB 1:27.3.
I think I will join you Alex.
Rules page missed the updated for the PW season. Sorry.

-- Lee's Pitstop/Refuel patch can be used any time.
Ah nice Jani, thanks. I think the races are too short to make a fuel pitstop worthwhile strategy wise, but maybe I'm wrong. IMO it might work in races longer than an hour, especially in 100% length races...you simply lose too much time with the pitstop in a shorter race to make up for it...
Really busy simracing...haven't tested yet, but will tonight, in the BT24. Been almost 10 years I raced at Zandy with 67 I think...don't expect to come close to my PR which is low24 in BT24...
Hope we have some fun tomorrow :)
I don't think it would worth to build a strategy on low fuel and a pitstop. But it is good for those (like me) who sometimes underestimates fuel usage and don't want to cold tires and engine with a reset :)
Sorry guys, just got bad news my mother has become very ill (she's been chronically ill for 20 years) and I'm not able to make the race tonight...
Have a good race my friends!
Very sorry to hear Robert. Good luck.
No. Still can't drive those pricks. Way too nervous for my driving.
More hard, more fun.
My car was too nervous for my taste, and i prefere to dont force following Jani and Andrew in early laps.
After Andrew leave me and Jani behind, i try to dont lost contact from my teammate, waiting for last part of the race to trying an attack.
I think also Jani was on its limit, but, at 6 laps from the end, i ask too much at my whale and the BRM decide to go graze before last turn.
Reset and i can see checkered flag, tired but very satisfied for this tough race.
See you at 10k (with open umbrellas).
Found it tough going today, but was starting to get comfortable chasing down Roo, when, lo and behold, my landline phone rings, and the internet disconnects!
Is it 2014? It could be 1999 here.... takes me back to the dial-up days! PS. Hope everything is OK, Rob.
Shame Iestyn discoed & Robert couldn't make it, it could have been a different race otherwise!
Set a pb in quali & then again in the race. A good race for me, a couple of excursions off track let Iestyn catch up & a spin that I got away with was fortunate.
Happy to finally have a good race at Zandvoort!
Congrats Roo and podium...
My mother's condition seems to be improving...never have seen a tougher human being than my mother...
Thanks all for your concerns and thoughts and hopefully until next week! :)
I just didn't expect this new PB. Plus a new green time in the BRM is always somewhat a holiday :D
But that was my last race lap. My qual was about to find good gear ratios and struggle with the no-cursor-in-gpl problem...
By the start I had a good car and was confident enough to fill the tank to 30 laps - to finish the race with no reset.
After a safe start my race was about trying to keep Andy in sight and hold Alex in my mirrors. It was pretty good fun :) but I must admit that I was close to loose it against Alex. I was lucky that he failed first. Thanks for those laps buddy :)
So a bit of luck here and there and I'm on the podium. :) Congrats to the winner and all finishers! See you next week!
