Great track, but hard to get a clean lap, it has some tricky points, especially Stag Hotel for me...
Don't think 3L cars are a lot faster here, it's too twisty.
Difficult to find the best suited car here.
Like Robert says, a smaller engine is likely to be the key. Got an excellent race in 65 cars I remember. My pb65 is faster than the pb66 of my Cooper. I think I should be able to push under 1:33. If I get to take the time for it.
Not my kind of track, but always FUN to drive an Eagle.
TBH it's a good track for me, just missed the 65 Brabham BT11 verified WR by a hair few months ago, and drove the 65 Ferrari 1512 verified WR this weekend!
Sure the likes of Mark Barresi can improve them though ;)
just tried today and managed 1:33.4, possible was a 1:32.8. but time ran out for me.
After missing the UKGPL Works championship, this result comes as a consolation ;)
Fun track, would have liked to see what the likes of Iestyn and Mark would be able to do.
Also this event made me hotlapping with the 65 Ferrari a bit and a WR is a bonus :)
Like Bastian I also had 32.8 on the table but I could not make it.
Two weeks holiday started for me today. I might be back for a few laps :)
grats robert :)
Thanks guys, I know all the ins and outs of this track now, and might try to get some more WR's in 65s here :) Off to Suzuka (after final UKGPL 65 Pro event tomorrow)...
Well done Roo and Yannick, the 3L handle more difficult, and it's not the easiest of tracks to get right ;)
