Iestyn Davies won Schottenring “Weather3 race” race of Festival Events | Aug 13, 2015
Starting from position 1 on the grid, Iestyn Davies's Brabham BT23 crossed the line ahead of Robert Fleurke's Cooper T84 to take the win. Roo Mellor rounded out the top three in a Lotus 48, while fastest race lap was set by Iestyn Davies also.
Great track, haven't been able to do the hotlap event due to back problems, and started racing again last weekend...
But planning to make this race. ;)
I did my first laps here. I had a 6:00s lap time in weather 3/4 conditions with promising 5:55s on Pribluda.
Don't forget to apply Lee's Weather Patch before starting up iGOR in GEM!
This track is like Beal Valley - once you've learnt the layout it's great fun.
I will take the Cooper T84. The mist makes it hard to recognize the corners for such a long track, probably too wet...level 3 should be ok ;)
Ah, what an awful evening. I had to skip the event as I had to escort my family to a local festival event to watch some horrible pop music...
Anyway I failed to set up the server properly. Sorry guys.
We decided to have a funrace, 4 laps, with Roo, Iestyn and I.
Was fun, couldn't hang on ultimately, as Iestyn went faster, and I hit the barriers a few times, causing me at somepoint to understeer off..had to reset in last lap...
Grats Iestyn, and well done Roo as well ;)
Replay here, until 20th of August available:
had a fun time blasting through the countryside but with only 4 laps practice many corners kept surprising me. Managed to beat my practice time though, even in the wet!
thanks for hosting Robert & racing.
No worries Jani, sorry to hear about suffering from pop music. It can be quite horrible.
Thanks for using the replay for publishing results. :)
Thanks for hosting the event :)
Well, the concert was not that bad, it's just that I planned my day around the evening race and then it turned out that I have to skip this...
Anyway, my G27 is still in its box waiting to be posted (missing the invoice atm..), but the old Momo worked really well in the training sessions. :)
