Roo Mellor won Albi “Team Race / Guy Ligier Memorial Race” race of Festival Events | Aug 27, 2015
Starting from position 2 on the grid, Roo Mellor's Lotus 33 crossed the line ahead of Robert Fleurke's Cooper T77 to take the win. Andrew Livingston rounded out the top three in a Ferrari 512, while fastest race lap was set by Roo Mellor also.
As always race length depends on driver numbers. Please vote if you are available for the event.
TEAM RACE – Except when otherwise stated, teams are formed by grid positions: first with last, second with second-to-last, and so on. Points according to the scoring system. Points are added up by team. Drivers with no qual lap time set race as individuals and earn no points. The team with more points wins. In a dead heat the best results decide.
This race is dedicated to Guy Ligier.
RIP Guy Ligier and Justin Wilson.
indeed, tough week for motorsport :(

Great race, only thing that takes a way a bit of the fun is the hick-ups and stuttering I have with mods since I have this newer system. It's not a FPS problem, can't put my finger on it.
Last lap Roo accidently bogged down I think out of the Double Drat hairpin and I had to lift out of my acceleration costing me a shot at the win.
(maybe I had just a super exit, and Roo was compromised taking a tighter defensive line into Double Drat, I should have timed it better)
Great racing all throughout the race. Had to lower tirepressures from qualifying, those were only good for 3-4 laps...
Grats Roo and great job Jani and Andy! :)
Great race indeed :)
For me its a shame I can only compete with Robert & the fast guys when in my trusty Lotus but with little prep these days I don't have much choice. On the other hand it makes for great racing & fun.
Again I missed the vsc lap (was going to stop when my board showed 12, one day I will get it right) but noticed Robert slowed so I backed the field up.
After the restart, it looked like there was a big off at the hairpin so I was short shifting while I decided whether to back the field up again. Saw Jani & Robert having quite a tussle so left them to it... only I ended up spinning some laps later!
I managed to catch up again & passed Jani when he ran wide in T1-2-3 & Robert into the hairpin on the final lap.
Not sure about bogging down exiting, I am always cautious over that last bump, maybe that was it?
Sorry to have caused you to lift anyway.
Grats to all, some great side by side action from you gentleman racers :)
Not at all Roo, great job. I chose the wrong words or should have watched replay first. ;)
Maybe I had just a super exit, and you were compromised taking a tighter defensive line into Double Drat, I should have timed it better. Also you mention you were cautious over the bump.
I had a wide entry and was able to pick up the throttle very soon straightening out the exit. Therefore was surprised closing in so fast on you. Simply racing.
Great fun, but as said I hope these hickups stop, I see them also in the replay. Not FPS, but like a connection thing.
A classic fun race!
I was slightly slower than you guys, but I hoped some battle ahead and plenty of slipstream to hold your pace. It worked for a few laps than in the last corner I put it into neutral, and lost the rear..
VSC saved me and gave another chance which worked surprisingly well, I even grabbed the lead for a while, but then carried too much speed through T1 and went off the track.
So back to my place, but it was still great fun with some close battles (with my team mate :D ).
Thanks all for coming. This was the last Thursday event for a while, see you on Monday.
