Would you be interested in a weather patch race next Thursday? (Feb 2)
Well done, Bastian! I smell it will be just another crazy challenge :D There's plenty to learn from these few turns :)
thx Jani and grrr. Tom Johnson :) :D
there's still time Bastian ;)
& the times are soooo close!
Very close times! Very hard to get a mistake free lap.
It's not my aim to demotivate you guys. Last year did hotlap this track a bit with 65s for GPLRank WR's...very fun short rollercoaster track! :)
Key is to run the short lines keeping momentum. Have uploaded my setup, can upload replay somewhere if you like. I run in 4th gear through Pilgrims (very tight line), then back in 2nd for the next two tight turns, and 3rd in the final turn. Again, running tight lines and keeping momentum up, especially in the BT14. Using 2-5 gear, shifting slightly after 8000rpm.
Replay & setup:
Lol Robert, it's not demotivation it's humilation :D
Haha that's not my aim either!
My aim is apart from improving myself, to let/see others improve. GPL's learning curve is neverending, goes for everyone! :)
thanks for the tips & setup Robert :)
I managed to improve my time but not enough, although there was a 45.8 on prib but that was with an out of control entry to the 1st hairpin which was worth about 0.2s :D
really difficult to consistently get good, clean laps in.
you of course smashed the best time in 4 laps! incredible!
respect, sir ;)
Cheers Roo, good to hear it helped! To be fair I had done a run before that tho ;)
Grats Robert! :)
grats Robert, I see a pattern forming here :D
work is too much, no time for another try. sad because i think there was some room to improve.
