Excuse me!  “I got clipped by the errant first row collision and then overdrove and went off several times trying desparately to catch up, then my screen froze twice so not one of my better races.”

Drivers' comments

No worries Clive. One more race before we change our format to pro long and introduce the dirtgear patch.

Dag Johnsen 05/04/2018 12:21:50

The new track is very nice to look at but seemed totally different to me. I didn't have a clue what was coming next so I left to do some practice for the upcoming UKGPL 55 Season.

Clive Loynes 05/03/2018 21:44:08

Got it and installed it but it looks very similar , more trackside objects but otherwise the same. Looks good though. Not sure if our host has the time today though.

Dag Johnsen 05/03/2018 18:10:41

I wasnt aware of that Axel. Was a while ago I got it the first time and I think it looks ok , good enough to race so havent thought any more of it. Gonna check it out , Ginetto`s stuff is awsome.

Dag Johnsen 05/03/2018 17:57:31

Why this old track version?
there is a way better zolder67 by Ginetto...

Axel Cookie 05/03/2018 17:50:54

Havent spoken to him but its working just fine now. I do subscribe to his youtube channel though. The tv2 angle is ok on Zolder so we are gonna try that. There is also cam fix for tracks where the cams are not optimal. Inborad looked a little funny tbh but who knows , still very much a work in progress this so.. We can let the viewers decide , all 4 of them. ; )

The stream is up now so take a look and see what you think if you have the opportunity. We have a split screen so some info is available on the side.

Dag Johnsen 05/02/2018 18:54:48

Have you tried to contact Yannick Verheijen?

He has done a fair bit of this.

Clive Loynes 05/02/2018 17:44:47

TV1 and TV2 might work on an original Papy track but the quality of camera positions isn't always great on addon tracks.

Yannick used his on-board camera and in that particular race he saw a fair bit of action. Putting the camera on the pole sitter isn't going to bother me unless you lap me!

Clive Loynes 05/02/2018 17:37:00

So the race on thursday will be livestreamed on our youtube channel starting @ 2000 CET.

Channel : F1 Historic Esports League

For now we can swap between drivers in qualifying but sadly our host cannot drive and produce a live broadcast at the same time so the polesitter gets the race cam in tv1 or tv2 mode. Or maybe inboard , dont know what works best yet.

This concept is fine for now for we still drive with shift + r enabled , once we go pro the broadcast lives and dies with the polesitter and thats a snag we have to figure out before august.

Dag Johnsen 05/02/2018 14:07:08

It should work fine but it will be the first time we try it so I cant be sure. Nothing digital is that reliable but it should be no problem.

The test went fine and we dont expect any problems from the broadcast or the server. Still waiting for confirmation from Andrè but as it stands we should be go for launch.

Dag Johnsen 05/02/2018 10:46:42

As I recall, the last time someone tried that we had wholesale disconnections.

This may have been triggered by the camera car disconnecting before everybody had finished.

Clive Loynes 05/02/2018 10:11:20

lol , thought we would add a little broadcast pressure. The polesitter gets the race cam.

Ive asked if Andrè could run a few rounds of practice server on wednsday but not sure if he got the time so no promises.

Dag Johnsen 05/02/2018 00:30:00

Oh dear!

Clive Loynes 05/02/2018 00:18:46

Yeah sorry about that , we have been testing livestreaming today so thats why the server has been like it has. It will be up tomorrow as usual.

The plan is to livestream the races on youtube.

Dag Johnsen 05/01/2018 23:05:54

Would have been useful to get on the server but someone seems to be doing a solo GP simulation on-line?

Doesn't help recruitment much.
