Excuse me!  “I showed remarkable skill in keeping the car on the grey stuff, completing a 360 spin, dropping 3 gears and setting off again in the right direction without damage whilst still holding the 'phone.”

Drivers' comments

Fifth out of eight is in my view fairly good.

On to the next two and hopefully one or two more additional. Going on a holiday on July 20th so the more the better :D

GT67 is always a little of a questionmark when it comes to picking a car, driving three of them usually, but went for the Mirage M1.

Off to the next hotlap where the cars barely can be more equal.

Yannick Verheijen 07/06/2014 22:25:57

Nice lap, Craig! :)

Robert Fleurke 07/06/2014 21:35:58

Congrats Craig!

Thanks all for taking part of this challenge. Please check season page for further track+mod combos :)

I can't recall if I ever drove a Chaparral. It was a bit strange with 3 gears only. Sadly I could not set a really best lap, I'm 2-3 tenths off according to pribluda.

Jani Posta 07/06/2014 08:28:02

aha. big differences amongst the field! Never taken much notice of their specs before. Cheers Jani :)

Roo Mellor 07/05/2014 09:26:26

Engine liters. :)

Jani Posta 07/05/2014 06:47:43

Thanks for the setup Robert :)

Jani, what do the numbers after the car name mean?

Roo Mellor 07/04/2014 22:24:37

Have uploaded my Porsche/Ferrari testing setups I did use last week. They have yet to be developed but I did set the times with it.

Robert Fleurke 07/02/2014 16:42:15

Just downloaded 910 set up.

Andy Clegg 07/02/2014 14:08:34

I'm mostly using default set ups.I've been driving Assetto Corsa for the past few months. I'm using a gamepad and been nowhere near the times on AC. I always read srmz every day and this thread came up. So I can't be too bad if I'm not last all the time. I was several seconds behind on AC.Is it ok if I get on your Rank times when this ends Jani? Wondering today whether to buy AC when it finally comes out.

Andy Clegg 07/01/2014 16:48:03

I uploaded my Porsche setup (see Files page), it's a really handy car with less HP. If you need that I can upload my best lap replay too.

Jani Posta 07/01/2014 06:37:50

Glad there are more of us.

Andy Clegg 06/30/2014 16:51:36

Drove about forty five minutes but can't get closer.

Andy Clegg 06/29/2014 14:51:18

Thanks for the invite to the race Jani better not.

Andy Clegg 06/25/2014 19:35:51

Just driven an hour and no better. I always reckoned to be five to six seconds away from quicker guys. Maybe I'm over driving, will try Porsche on Sunday.

Andy Clegg 06/25/2014 15:38:15

1:16-17 in the Porsche. Click 'All lap times' on Race info page to see more laps from the same drivers.

Jani Posta 06/25/2014 14:36:46

I drove Mclaren M8F when track was introduced. Not driven Porsche yet. What times were you getting Jani? I've been trying to figure out how to set up suspension over the last few months. Never thought I'd be able to drive the Lola as well as this.

Andy Clegg 06/25/2014 12:56:59

No problem Andy :)

I put a few laps into the Porsche and I must say that compared to Ferrari it's pure pleasure for me - included the last turn too :D

Jani Posta 06/25/2014 12:40:54

Sorry Jani, I updated my time before seeing your message. The Sports cars and Can-Am are my favourite mods. I would have given anything to have gone to Le Mans in 1967. I saw Brian Redman driving the Sid Taylor Lola T70 ( in mod photo for Gem) at Oulton Park.

Andy Clegg 06/23/2014 16:52:22

Sorry Jani, but you can always take a faster chassis! :P Yes last turn you can easily miss apex or bring in too much speed causing you to go wide/off. Little margin for error there, so I take a conservative approach not braking too late, and concentrate on the line and entry speed...

Porsche is easier to drive than Ferrari, but slower of course.

Robert Fleurke 06/21/2014 13:56:58

Robert, this morning I started on the track to better your lap time just to come here and see that you have already ran a faster lap in the night :D

Btw last turn is solid horror for me.

Jani Posta 06/21/2014 07:07:31

Sorry that link is generated from track folder name. Unfortunately the link fails with the new tracks as they are not included on GPLTD..

Jani Posta 06/20/2014 17:47:03

FYI the link to GPLTrackbase doesn't work. It's the new Watkins Glen 1971 Short, right (watgCA71)? Found the track at SRMZ ;)
